Resolution for the destruction of noxious weeds adopts

The Fayette County Iowa Board of Supervisors on May 7 1945 orders all landowners or possessor to cut burn or destroy noxious weeds on lands to prevent blooming and maturity and to keep adjoining streets safe from weed growth with specified cut dates and frequencies per Chapter 246.1 of the 1939 Iowa Code.

The Fayette County Board of Supervisors approves a weed program targeting primary noxious weeds including quack grass and Canada thistle. Landowners must adopt destruction measures within five years, and neighboring-attached roads must have weeds removed by July 20 1945, with costs assessed to landowners if ignored.
