Miss Eva Mae Frieden wed Lieut. Richard E. Melson in a March Sunday ceremony at the local Methodist church. Mrs. Melson wore aqua gabardine departing in orchid corsage. she is a former Iowa State attendee.
The Humboldt graduate, after teaching in public schools in Hum boldt and Elgin, plus time at Iowa State College Ames, worked in Chicago with International Harvester. Trained in the Navy at Anapolis, he now serves in the Naval Reserve. Out-of-town guests included Randall Melson of Humboldt and Major and Mrs. Robert Melson of Chicago among many others.
