Warm Water May Save Chilled Lambs
Newborn lambs at risk from chilling can be saved by immersion in warm water then brisk drying with a dry cloth. After warming, feed colostrum from the mother, wrap in a warm dry blanket, and return to the mother when strong. Pen ewes in clean dry lambing pens to reduce orphaned lambs and help bonding. Encourage early grain with milk.
