Local Health and Social Notes Brush Through Winter Ills

Last week brought a mix of illnesses and social visits in the community. Names such as Earl Rothlisberger, Ed Kohler, Elma Medberry, Mrs. Eugene Brost, Wilbur Patterson, and others appear amid reports of measles, lagrippe, toothache, and general illness. Social calls, family visits, and local events fill the scene, including attendance at the Hugh MacKellar sale and a St Elmo performance at the Elgin opera house, with multiple households hosting guests and neighbors. A punishing croup cough prompts a local endorsement of Dr King’s New Discovery, hailed as a cure for coughs, colds, and lung troubles.
