Senate bows to point order on parcel post plan
The plan for an experimental parcel post was killed in the Senate after Vice President Sherman sustained a point of order removing the amendment that would have allowed the postmaster general to run an experimental parcel post for one year starting April 1 1911. Also in the day’s session the Senate declared Lorimer seated, ordered a favorable report on a Honduras treaty, and filled other posts.
