John Albert Baldwin born April 16 1854 in Rockford Alabama died June 6 1932 at age 78 after a nine month illness. He lived in Elgin most of his life with six years at Oelwein. He married Florence Gage September 14 1897 and had four children D Howard Elgin Florence French St Olaf Joe Kinnan Burling ton and Harry Baldwin Lamont. Funeral services at home and Baptist church with Rev Ph Lauer, Rev J J Supder, Alyria quartet and La Fonda Shaffer presiding. interment Ein Cemetery.
