FSA Loans Aid Veterans to Start Farms

Farm operating loans have been extended to several hundred honorably discharged service men with no other credit source to finance food production. The loans enable veterans of the present war to lease or buy land and obtain equipment and facilities to begin farm operations. Food allotments for farm help are extended to livestock and seasonal workers for 60 days or less, up from 30 days. Workers employed over 60 days must continue to turn in ration points to their employer for point based meals.
