Johnson McMullen Wedding in Elgin Baptist Church

Miss Evelyn Johnson of West Union and Pvt Bernard McMullen son of Mrs L R McMullen Decorah united in marriage Tuesday afternoon July 25 at three in Elgin Baptist church Rev Lewis R Johnson Wyocena Wis brother of the bride performed the single ring ceremony In attendance were relatives and friends. The bride’s brother Harry Johnson gave her in marriage. Attendants included Mildred Johnson of Steamboat Rock and Fred McMullen of Waterloo best man. Music and flowers enhanced the ceremony followed by a reception for about 100 in the church parlors. The couple will reside in Spokane Washington after a short wedding trip. Both graduates of local high schools and members of familiar families in Decorah West Union and nearby towns.
