Compromise on Psychiatrists Pay Provisions and Agriculture Tax Credit
The state comptroller expects payments at 39.8 cents on the dollar of each claim for the ag land tax credit, down from 44 cents last year. Pro‑rating occurs due to tight appropriations. Legislature raised annual ag land credit to 11.25 million dollars, but claims exceed last year by about 5 million, totalling over 28 million. Personnel changes include Bill Algood as personnel director at 8000 dollars yearly, replacing Liddy, and Rex McHill named to oversee car dispatching. A new liquor union, affiliated with the International and the state's rights, emerges among store workers seeking six hours.
