Growers' Entry Deadline July 31
Fayette County farmers planning to enter the 1962 Iowa Master Corn and Master Soybean Grower contests must file entries with Fayette County Corn Club, M. C. Wangsness, by July 27. Applications must be forwarded to the Iowa Crop Improvement Association and postmarked by July 31 to qualify for state awards. Last year’s contests were the largest in years and this year could be even larger.

Lars acted as caller in the Ben Erickson home last Monday evening. Mrs Vince Bartunek and Lin da were guests of Mr and Mrs Edward Rocca in Sioux City from Sunday to Thursday of last week. Mr Bartunek drove them to Town City on Thursday. They spent the rest of the week in the Mrs Edna Smith home and plan to return to Elgin on Sunday.
