A Brief History of the Groth School House

The Groth School House began in 1893 when local pioneers pledged funds and land was donated by Johannes Groth to build a parochial school for religious instruction. By 1894 the building was completed and later years saw a shift from Norwegian to English, with Sunday school leaders listed and a temporary closure about ten years ago. Now reopened as the Little White Schoolhouse, the building remains well maintained thanks to annual community support and a list of named teachers from Margit Regstad to Signy Hanson.
