ELCW Meeting at Elgin Lutheran Church Women
The regular Feb meeting of the Elgin Lutheran Church Women was held in the fellowship hall with Mrs. Richard Hofer, Mrs. Leslie Kleppe, Mrs. Ed Butihofer, and Clara Hellum as hostesses. Pastor Fjelstul led devotions and Mrs. Dwayne Frieden presented the lesson “The Law of Late.” Mrs. Dale Seitz was named historian book custodian. The worship offering meditation was by Mrs. Elmer ger, with three members and one guest Arthur present. The session closed with Lords Prayer and table grace.

Obituary of Adolph H Larson 70 Dies in Elkader
Adolph Henry Larson age 70 died February 18 at Central Community Hospital Elkader after months of illness from strokes. Born July 20 1914 in Elkader he married Mary Ann Johnson December 28 1921. Survived by wife seven children nineteen grandchildren two great grandchildren and siblings. Funeral February 20 at Highland Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.
