Funeral services for Prof. Fred L. Hadsel were held at Oxford Ohio after his death in Florida the prior week. Born February 18 1880 in Maynard Iowa he taught Latin at Miami University from 1903 rising to department head in 1911 and married Mary Perine in 1910 with two children. He studied at Chicago Yale Oxford and Stanford and joined Virgil Pilgrimage in Mantua Italy in 1930. His life centered on teaching and friendship throughout his career.
