Interpolated Rakoczy March and Berlioz orchestration
Berlioz used an interpolated Rakoczy March not written for Faust. It is an old Hungarian gypsy tune Berlioz heard in Pesth around 1846. Liszt reportedly loaned him a collection of songs before leaving Vienna. Berlioz chose the theme and re clothed it with rich orchestral color.
