Alexander Rudolph Pagan, age eighty years four months two days, of Clayton county Iowa, died Sunday afternoon December 11 at the Fred Schneider home four miles west of Elkader. Born August 9 1847 at Niden Canton Bern Switzerland, he married Monika Rebholz January 18 1873. Surviving children are Alexander Pagan of Highland township, Mrs. Fred Schneider of Boardman township, and Adolph Pagan of Highland township.
