CCC Bores Fight Brush Fire For Hours In County

About 85 CCC boys from Decorah battled a prairie brush and timber fire that raged from 4 PM to midnight Tuesday December 12 in Winneshiek county. The blaze started at 3 PM and, aided by high winds, threatened two farm buildings and nearby timber observed from Waucoma and surrounding areas. Reports from Decorah Journal.
