Berg ads and Elgin locals sparkle with shopping and visits
The Elgin newsletter highlights Berg's department store promotions with a doll giveaway and Christmas outfits. It notes Mrs. George Gale and Mrs. H. D. Yack in West Union, visitors from Marquette and Waterloo, and Irene Musser aiding a sick neighbor in Decorah. Various residents shop in Oelwein and Postville, while Berg urges cheaper goods and warm apparel.
