Benjaman Franklin Bean dies at 86 in Elgin Iowa
Benjaman Franklin Bean born June 30 1842 at Bean Corner Maine son of Lyman and Sally Bean died December 4 1928 at his daughter Mrs Robert Peters home in Elgin Iowa aged 86. He served in the 28th Infantry Maine in the Union Army later lived near Waverly and Dubuque Iowa. Survived by son Harry of Clinton Illinois daughter Maude Peters of Elgin two granddaughters Miss Louise Bean and Mrs H F Swigart of Clinton II nephews and other relatives. A service was held at the daughter’s home conducted by Rev J J Snyder and at Walton's Chapel Dubuque with interment in Linnwood Cemetery.
