A club cafe worker found the refrigerator completely damaged by burning, with steel parts crumpling easily. Electricians cannot determine the cause. Also reported a soot covered brown squirrel found in a basement and various social notes about guests, bridge scores, and local visits.
Dr John E Anderson of the Minnesota Institute of Child Welfare says if children are happy, let them alone. Mothers often nag unintentionally, disturbing harmless play unless safety is at risk.
Rev and Mrs J J Snyder announce the marriage of their daughter Theresa Ruth Foster to Howard C Foster in the First Baptist Church San Francisco on July 19. Both wore uniforms. attendants included Josephine Foster WAVES and Lt Rue Green. The couple were hosted at Hotel Fairmount. Foster served two and a half years and was at Pearl Harbor.
Mrs John Strub and daughters Helen and Carol from Iowa City arrived Wednesday to visit the Walter Germann home for a week. Mrs L L Kiple hosted the Batoffe club and guest Mrs Lloyd Swartley on Tuesday evening. Mrs C C Christ won the prize for high.
