Polio vaccination tests under a nationwide program to measure the effectiveness of oral vaccines were set to start this week in three Iowa counties Linn and Scott among them. The program aims to evaluate the vaccines' impact through controlled public health trials.
About 20,000 first to third grade students in three Iowa counties will receive a newly developed vaccine. Local physicians will administer injections at schools with parental approval. Dr. Norval J.
