Latimer Youth Held For Larceny
Russell Freese, 17, of Latimer, held in county jail after being picked up Sunday for larceny. He was found with a 1962 De Soto owned by John Peterson of Coulter, ran off the road southwest of Eldora, and is wanted by Franklin county authorities for parole violation. Three Injured In Iowa Falls Car Crash North Of Town
Three people were injured in a two car collision north of Iowa Falls on Friday evening. The crash at highways 48 and 30 involved Sherman Aldinger, 25, of Ackley in a 1956 Ford and Wm J Noss, 69, of Sacramento California in a 1989 Ford station wagon. Noss’s wife Matilda, 67, suffered a broken leg, head lacerations and internal injuries. Noss had internal injuries and Aldinger sustained arm and facial lacerations.

Allen Slatter, 97, of Eldora sustained shock and a possible head concussion Friday afternoon when his pickup collided with a semi driven by Malcolm Howdeshell, 37, of Gary Indiana at Edgington Avenue and 15th Street. Slatter, a Vinton Construction employee, was taken to Eldora Hospital andImproved by Monday. Howdeshell, uninjured, was eastbound with shelled corn. the semi clipped a Mobilgas station sign pole. The Vinton truck, a 1953 Ford, was a total loss. the semi incurred about 300 in damage.
