Rural Women Meet At Radcliffe Draws 200 Attendees
Over 200 persons attended Rural Women's Day at the Radcliffe community memorial building. Five foreign students from Iowa State College led discussions on conditions at home and impressions of America and the Midwest. Speakers included Oscar Pemnantle from India and Miss Joan Smith from England, with others from Holland China Finland. The program featured a Nations headquarters talk by Mrs Eldon Rosene, citizenship remarks by Rev Wayne Santel, and music by Radcliffe High School students. International exhibits from many nations accompanied a tea and formal arrangement under county leaders.

Eleven schools joined Radcliffe in a dental health rally on April 26. Hospitalized After Early Morning Eldora Crash
Virgil Rudolph aged 19 of Eldora remains in fair condition at Eldora Memorial Hospital after a car he drove overturned in Liberty park. He was unconscious for hours at the scene after 1:30 a.m. and reached Harms and Garles homes before hospital contact. Rudolph is a tester for Hardin Dairy Improvement Association No. 2.

Doris Kaas Named Librarian At Pigeon Falls Wisconsin
Miss Doris Kaas of Pigeon Falls Wisconsin has been elected librarian by the Eldera library board to succeed Miss Nancy Ney who has resigned to take effect shortly before July 1 and whose wedding will take place during that month. Kaas will graduate this year from Luther College at Decorah Iowa with a bachelor of arts degree and minor in library work. She is expected to arrive in the second week of June to work with Miss Ney before the latter leaves.
