Funeral services were held Monday from the Calvary Baptist Church of Union for Howard Rash who died Friday at his home in Union. Burial was in Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leo Faris Robert Faris Edward Faris Gary Faris Thornton Faris Dean Faris with Reba Martin Ivadel Knight Rosemary Faug Kathlene Bruner in charge of flowers. The Kevs Robert Bakrd Koelth Tur Mipseed officiated with Phillip Rash assisting, accompanied by Mrs. James Speas. Arrangements were made by the Biersborn Funeral Home of Wylon. Howard Rash was born in Harding County on May 25 1896, the son of Supis and Matelda Jane Rash. He was married to Florence Faris on Jan 3 1918 in Marshalltown, My. Rash was engaged in farming around Union where he lived. He moved to Union on Jan 26 1960. Survivors include Mrs Rash three sons David Joe of Union and Don of New Providence, three daughters Mrs Maurlica Wooten of Clemons Mrs Duane Andrews of New Providence and Mrs James Woodward of Union two brothers Otte Rash of New Providence and Keogh Rash of Bloomington Ind one sister Mrs Ethel Ferris of New Providence and 20 grandchildren

Youth Held In Jail Here After I. F. Shooting
A 17-year-old town Falls youth, Cecil Hubert McCown, was held in the county jail after a shooting near the Park and Eat. He allegedly fired a .32 caliber revolver at a car owned by Ronald L. Smith, injuring no one as occupants escaped. The case was continued to Saturday by Judge Ed J Kelley in juvenile court.
