Five Month Old Infant Dies After Brief Illness
Dayo Davis, five months old, daughter of Sgt and Mrs Jenunsy Davis, died after a short illness at Bluvia Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday at Andre w Creps Funeral Home with Rev. Raas jal Aas at Eldora Cemetery Anioe. Born August 16, 1952 at Camp Cook California, she had lived with maternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Earl Messer in Eldora since January 3 while Davis served in Germany. Surviving parents include two sisters Patricia Ann and Sherry Mane and two brothers Michael Lee and David LeRoy. maternal grandparents reside Eldora and paternal grandmother Goldie May of Ainsworth, Iowa.

Brilliant Union Student Dies By Own Hand Sunday
Joe Hadley a 19 year old sophomore at Iowa State College died by suicide in Union. He was found in his bed Sunday morning after his mother checked on him. Ill health and severe migrane headaches reportedly contributed. Funeral services will be held at Community church in Union at 1 30 this afternoon with burial in Union cemetery. He was valedictorian of Union High School 1951 and active in 4 H and school music. He is survived by his parents and two sisters Alyce and Linda.

Hardin County Mutual Insurance Ass'n held its annual meeting in New Providence. E. C. White was elected president with John H Boeke as vice president and Dale Moon as secretary treasurer. Lawn Hill Home Total Loss In Sunday's Fire
A Sunday night blaze destroyed the Lawn Hill residence of the Dick Dickerson family while they were away. Edward Fisher, passing by, spotted the fire about 8:00 p.m. and reported it. New Providence and Eldora fire departments fought the flames. The dwelling had been owned by Rev. John A. Deedrick, a former Lawn Hill pastor, who sold it before leaving for Cedar Falls. The Dickersons and their three young children had recently moved from Conrad.
