Luikens Celebrate Golden Wedding With Steamboat Rock Open House
Mr and Mrs S A Luiken of Steamboat Rock marked their 50th wedding anniversary with a church open house at the Steamboat Rock Baptist church drawing over 200 attendees. The couple married December 31 1903 near Steamboat Rock and spent their life farming in the area raising two sons Ray and Otto and four grandchildren.

Rev Father G Ma honey officiated. The bride wore white nylon net over white taffeta with yellow and white carnations. Mrs Harry Harrison played nuptial music. Bride wore peacock blue nylon dress with pink and white carnations. Bridegroom's mother wore pray gabardine dress with pink and white carnations. A family reception followed at the bridegroom's sister home Mr and Mrs Harold Fistler. The bride is a graduate of Eldora high school and employed at Eldora Memorial hospital.
