Ladies Aid Society Hears Christmas Program at Community Church
Union News reports Mrs. Ross Hackett and others hosting a Ladies Aid session at the Community church social room. Mrs. K. L. Wooten was absent, with Ivan Nelson presiding. The meeting opened with carols, readings from Luke 2 and A Box for Soving, and gifts for Dessie Scott mission in Kentucky. Officers elected: Grace Lawin president, Paul Glenney vice, Jessie Biersborn secretary, Lamont Moore treasurer, L. W. Johnson auditor. A social hour followed with Christmas decor and refreshments.

The Loyal Woman's Bible class of the Christian Sunday school met Thursday for a potluck dinner at the home of Mrs. R. W. Carter. Twenty one attended including Rev. and Mrs. Lyle Childs as guests. Mrs. Lavica Dillon and Mrs. Josie Bowen assisted the hostesses. After dinner the regular business meeting was held with president Mrs. Cady Barnes presiding. Officers elected for the coming year were: President Mrs. Novella Shore, vice president Mrs. Errol Dillon, secretary and treasurer Mrs. Frona Chamness.
