Earl Travis awarded seventeen merit badges, and two Paul Bunyan axe awards were given. Scoutmaster E J Foster presented mothers with rosebud tokens. talks on the Valley Forge jamboree trip included Bekemeier passing his public speaking merit badge and Lettow earning it previously.

Parents of Scouts Plan Organization Moves Forward

Four Parents of Explorer Scouts met at the office of O. Rub on a Wednesday evening to plan the movement’s future. The Wildlife club agreed to fund, but asked parents to run the program. A fathers committee will be formed with L. F. Oldenburg as chairman and duties assigned. They seek an adviser for the post. Nature note states 500 to 800 years to form 1 inch of topsoil. A field with four inches has lost more than 2000 years of soil development.
