Still Time To Reseal Old Corn In Iowa
Dewey E. Eller, chairman of the Hardin county ASC committee, says recent adverse corn weather in Iowa may raise the amount of price supported corn kept on farms under reseal. Producers with 1953 and 1954 loan corn may reseal by notifying the county ASC office or their sealer, even if they had planned delivery. Resealing guarantees on farm feed supply and guards against higher future costs, plus a storage payment of 15 cents per bushel for keeping loan corn an extra year.
