Miss Mary Crocker, heir to a California fortune of about 5 million, married Francis Arton Harrison in a lavish Tuxedo wedding. Miss Mary Scott, once invited as travel companion, served as bridesmaid as plans for a world tour were scrapped. A reception followed at Mrs. Alexanders residence before an extended foreign bridal tour.
The St L and San Francisco railway directors met in New York and accepted the resignation of Daniel B. Robertson as president. Vice President and General Manager Yoakum was elected as his successor.
New York June 7 Mrs Ettie Warner faced Magistrate Mayo for the third time on a charge of throwing caustic potash into the face of Dr John T Cronin s wife. Warner denies guilt and says she can prove a circumstantial alibi.
W. S. Taylor of Indianapolis denies he has withdrawn from the Kentucky gubernatorial race. He says if he goes to Philadelphia or Pittsburgh the Lotus club will give him a big reception and escort him to the convention.
The mayor will not attend the convention of mayors in Wacoon on June 11 due to pressing city business. He would like to attend but must remain in his city to handle affairs.
Reports from Yokohama confirm a May 12 quake caused great damage in Sendai Fuehima and Myagi with heavy shocks. Forty houses destroyed five injured. In Sendai Tokayort thirty houses collapsed many people and animals killed. Irvant also reported damage to railway.
June 7 report from New York states Kid McCoy asked for a delay in the bout with Sharkey claiming he needs rest after heavy fighting. Seaside Athletic club doubts any future match and has lost hope of a Sharkey showdown while McCoy will keep training and aim for another suitable opponent.

A nine year old Morenci Arizona lad Robert Wimberly travels from El Paso toward Havana to locate his father said to have died of yellow fever. He reached El Paso fourteen days after leaving home and is cared for by Dominguez Monguero before Deputy Sheriff James R Nick of Graham County returns him to his guardian. He speaks five languages and is described as well bred and resourceful.
Dillon Schutz united in marriage at the Schutz home on San Francisco street. Judge A. M. Walthall officiated with J. Harland Adams as best man. Irma Schutz was bridesmaid as the city’s popular young couple begins married life.
Lorenzo Marquez reports the Boers are making a stand near Hatherly 12 miles east of Pretoria on the Delagoa Bay railroad to gain time. British prisoners are moved to Nooittgdach in Elands valley with 300 arriving Tuesday and 700 more yesterday guarded by 250 Boers.
In Waterbury Connecticut on June 7 the Democratic state convention began with Mayor Kilduff as temporary chair. Delegates from four districts and eight counties will be chosen for the Kansas City convention. It marks only the second time CT Democrats meet outside Hartford or New Haven.
In Judge Walthall's court yesterday Rito Portillo was tried for theft from the person. Cruz Reyes testified Portillo took a dime savings bank from him and Portillo claimed Lamon threw it. The bank was found at Portillo's feet. The jury deliberated from five until 10:30 this morning but could not agree and was discharged.
The Manila prisoner Paterno quote says Aguinaldo alive and the revolution continues. He pledges victory with or without Democratic aid, denying rumors of his death or submission to the Americans.
A. Erkins of Cincinnati, representing the National Ornamental Glass Manufacturers association, sailed from New York on June 7 to introduce American art glass to French and German manufacturers.

Arthur Roberts, a fireman on a San Luis division engine, sues the Mexican Central railway for 12000 alleging improper track construction caused the engine to derail and explode. He cites severe injuries including a broken leg and head injury, claiming lifelong crippling effects and inability to work as a fireman. case expected in October term.
