An explosion in the boiler room of the German warship Buzzard in Aden killed three sailors and wounded three others. The incident occurred today amid ongoing operations of the vessel.
In Paris on August 7 Salson the anarchist who tried to assassinate the shah faced Vallete, alleged to be his accomplice. The two men, bound together, rushed at each other then denied any accomplice role and confrontation ensued.

In Mason City Iowa on August 7 Harry Wheelock was shot and killed by his former wife Mrs Wallace Burgess. Wheelock had been convicted of assault to kill and sentenced to three years in the penitentiary. During his incarceration Mrs Burgess married him then.
Four people were killed and several injured when a Monon passenger train collided with a farm engine near South Raub Lafayette Indiana shortly after midnight.
James Clark and Victoria Stevens faced license hurdles in Texas. They traveled to Durango and Juarez, secured a license in Las Cruces, were married, and returned to El Paso. The couple plans to make the city their home and Clark will keep his job.
Manuel Fernandez, 28, Mexican, is jailed on a dangerous weapon charge after allegedly assaulting the six year old son of C Bergsland near SP yards. He was arrested by Officer Rayner after the boy reported bruises and cuts to eye cheek and forehead. Fernandez, reportedly intoxicated, had said the boys teased him. a preliminary trial occurred this morning.
Sherman G Petticolas was appointed by Mayor Magottia as city electrician of EFC Paso at a salary of ninety dollars per month. The appointment takes effect today.
