Remains of Buena Vista Soldiers Placed for Reinterment
The last bodies of American soldiers killed at Buena Vista have been removed from graves in Buena Vista Mexico and will be sent to San Antonio Texas for reinterment. About 700 Americans died in the battle and were buried there. In 1860 Kentucky ordered 100 of its dead moved for burial with military honors.

City Councilman J. L. Whitmore died at his Florence street residence at six last night after about three months of illness.
