Artist aims to spark public interest in Edmonds art scene
June McCallum Louttit, longtime president of Edmonds Gallery North, has fostered community art since childhood. Her current exhibit The Joy of Easter at Gallery North in Old Milltown features bold watercolors and abstracts, reflecting religious themes and a love of vivid color. Louttit notes her work spans landscapes, portraits, and sea and mountain scenes, with awards at the Edmonds Arts Festival and showings at Seattle Art Museum, Frye, and Bellevue. Her goal remains to involve others in art while challenging female artists to broaden subjects beyond flowers and mountains.
