Cantwell declares candidacy for 44th District seat
Maria Cantwell, 27, launches her bid for the 44th Legislative District, position 1, covering parts of north King and south Snohomish counties. Incumbent Rep Jeanine Long may switch to the Senate if a race materializes. Cantwell aims to raise about 50 000 dollars and has campaign staff including Dave Grossett and Brian Corcoran.
