Gale Filer leads Lynnwood softball into a new era
In 1974 Lynnwood High School found its first softball coach, math teacher Gale Filer, who admits it was a long shot. He built a program noted for a 131-62 career record, a Wesco title, and district playoff runs, while also coaching chess. Filer retires after 30 years teaching, plans fishing, travel, and time with friends.
