Roofing truck crash spills propane on I-405 near Bothell
A roofing truck towing a 250 gallon propane tank overturned after swerving to avoid another crash on northbound I-405 a mile northwest of Bothell Everett Highway. Driver Bill Stredicke of Maple Valley escaped with minor injuries and was hospitalized. Propane crews from Renton assisted. The vehicle belonged to Architectural Metal Roofing Systems en route to Lynnwood to finish roofing Aurora Center.

Girl struck while chasing ice cream truck in Mountlake Terrace
A 7 year old girl, Kristi Beard, was hit by a southbound car while crossing toward an ice cream truck on the 22600 block of 56th Avenue W. The driver, traveling at or below the limit, stopped the truck after she waved. She was hospitalized in serious but stable condition. charges likely will not be filed.
