World for Women marks ten years in Snohomish and King counties

World for Women Inc marks its tenth anniversary serving women and children in Snohomish and North King counties. The group evolved from a shoestring operation with crisis housing and workshops to a UW agency with multiple programs, including emergency shelter, short term counseling, housing referrals, and community education through Edmonds Community College. It expands services via a cooperative with Snohomish Housing Authority and plans a quarterly newsletter while funding remains tight and community support grows.
