Property marking pays off in Madisonville theft recovery
Operation Identification credited with recovering 483 dollars worth of stolen goods in Madisonville. Officers George Rosen and John Connelly stopped a juvenile on Roe Street on September 2, finding stereo components and a brass bracelet marked with a social security number. The mark led to a Lacrosse Street burglary victimized home and the items were recovered before the owner knew of the theft.
