Police recover eight bikes after arrest of teen

Safety lane pays off for recovered bicycle
A Michigan Avenue resident recovered his bike after it was found on Edwards Road by police. The bike had been registered the previous Saturday at Hyde Park Residents Association’s safety lane, helping District Six officials identify the owner quickly. About 165 bikes were inspected and registered, with cards kept on permanent file.
