Madisonville Sing Out for Community Benefit Event
Madisonville hosts a city wide sing out at Madisonville High School with Wilbur Swallen as master of ceremonies and the Lyon School Band directed by David Fowler. Funds support community projects including a youth center and Knothole baseball outfits with churches and schools among expected participants. District to trial votomatic voting in 26th district May 7
Voters in the 26th district will adopt a punch card votomatic system for the May 7 primary. If successful it may replace the Coleman system in most areas by November. Voters will receive color coded punch cards and use a vote recorder. write in ballots are provided and computer tabulation will be used.

At the Apr 24 Fairfax Village Council meeting residents of Meadowlark Se sought permission to erect a basketball net on village property. Councilman Williamson pushed for a formal written consent from six affected residents and a possible play street ordinance.
