Horizons of the Air Host Tom Ellerbrock Debuts on WGUC
Hyde Park resident Tom Ellerbrock assistant editor of Cincinnati Horizons will host Horizons of the Air an hour long radio magazine on WGUC FM 909 beginning March 7 broadcasting the first Thursday of each month at 730 PM. The program will feature varied topics and light humor reflecting UC arts sciences and Cincinnati. Ellerbrock a Cincinnati native and Xavier alum has worked in New York publications and theater. His play Atlantis is being prepared with composer Paul Palombo. He and his wife Janet Willis live on Erie Avenue with their dog Sam.

Mariemont Council Eyes Fire Chief Replacement
At the Feb 25 meeting Mayor Charles Straley announced Fire Chief George Rabe will retire this spring and a new chief must be appointed by the mayor with council advice. The council discussed a new patrolman, approved bidding for a dump truck, and referred most items to the next meeting while amending the building zone map to include areas around the high school and library as well as a second reading on Mariemont Township ordinance.
