City engineers warn the Grandin Road viaduct faces corrosion and drainage issues after 70 years. A reinforced deck and downspouts were proposed years ago, but funding remains limited. Civic groups show mixed support for repair or demolition, with a new bridge costing about two million dollars.
Naegele of Oakley Holstering Co was installed as president of the Oakley Chamber of Commerce at a Feb 20 dinner at Mariemont Inn. New attendees joined regulars as officers and directors were installed and a membership drive was announced to boost active merchant and industry participation.
