Governor James Rhodes appealed for prayer and Christian Scientists opened their Reading Room on Edwards Rd Hyde Park Square inviting the public to pray about the weather. The room, open Sunday hours with a large sign, also operates Monday through Saturday 9 to 5:30 for study and prayer.
