Scouts on Canadian expedition with Troop 149 head north
Ten Mariemont Scouts led by Assistant Scoutmaster Shawn Gallagher left August 12 for Queticc Provincial Park in Canada for a two week wilderness canoe trip. The group, part of Troop 149 in Region 10, will return August 26 to Mariemont after visiting the base north of Ely Minnesota.

Firefighter William E. Rains of Hyde Park has been chosen by Assistant Chief Joseph Devine to organize a citywide community relations program. Rains, trained as a community services officer, is aided by Albert Zirkelbach to develop plans for improving citizen services. He began a 1968 program under Chief Gannani and is married with church and tutoring roles in Hyde Park.

A ceremony led by Mayor Thomas A. Luken and Cincinnati Recreation Commission President Wilber A. Page will dedicate Lucien Wulsin Park behind Withrow High School. The 6 acre site, donated by Lucien Wulsin, was valued over fifty thousand dollars and once the Wulsin family home. New bus times take effect this week for Routes A E and 69 Madisonville. Route A shifts to 7:06 and 7:26 with a 20 minute headway, Route E moves the 7:31 trip to 7:36 and trims four runs to three by 8:01 8:25 and 8:49, and Route 69 departures at 7:26 7:40 7:54 8:08 become 7:33 7:46 and 8:04.
