Missing airman found killed in Nevada tragedy reported
Technical Sergeant Ri E Beane Jr. was found dead on a mountainside near Tonopah Field Nevada. His body was located after Lt Col Charles Beatty and Beane travelled from Tonopah to Wendover Utah by flight, grounded by weather. Funeral plans set for Sunday at Mid Pungra Home with burial at Lakeside Cemetery. The Beane family, including Mrs Temperance Smallwood Beane and a daughter, receive community sympathy.

The flag draped casket bearing Willa Lee Stapleton arrived at 6:45 p.m. Friday after a Guadalcanal era service. Veterans groups and family members greeted the Navy veteran as she lay in state at home. Funeral held 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Albert presiding and church choir.
