Fred Carlton and George Durham jailed on bonds after alleged break in on Sea Board Air Line cars. Will Perkins in county jail awaiting grand jury on whiskey sale. E C Marshall appointed police officer in Trenton New Jersey plans holiday visit to Leesville before starting duties January 15.

Charles Cozart cuts wood. tales of a red headed boy, Santa visits from Reade Brothers, and marriages such as Luna Allen to Will Parker. Local leaders favor Kitchin for Governor and hunting season news. School events at Rougemont with Rev Arrowood. merchants offer Xmas sales. prayer services planned at Red Mountain Baptist.
The week honors list includes Moyle Green Lida Green Fannie Green Mary Van O Briant Viola O Briant and Clair Herndon. A Christmas entertainment at Lowe's School is set for Friday night December 20 at 7 o'clock featuring A Proposal Under Difficulties and a Christmas tree. The play, by John Mendricks Bangs, is popular and will speak for itself. Everyone is invited and urged to arrive on time.

Gilmer to appear by March 6 1908 or demur. action seeks recovery of money in hands of R P Reade Trustee. Also summons to stockholders creditors or dealers of Jones Frasier Incorporated regarding receivership and court appearance February 1968.
