The Arizona Democratic state committeemen met in Phoenix to organize for the current campaign and adopted a progressive platform. John J. Birdne of Graham County was elected chairman with George Michelson of Yuma County as secretary. Lamar Cobb praised for a strong speech, with Greenlee attendees Hampton Vaughn Cobb, and Hampton on the Executive Committee while Vaughn serves on Platform. Uncle Thomas Merrill Sr Dies at Home South of Town
Thos Merrill Sr died last Sunday morning at his home south of town after months of illness. He had sought various treatments including travel to El Paso but never recovered. He leaves a widow and several children, with many friends and relatives to mourn his loss. His remains were buried in Franklin cemetery.
