Capitalists Visit Twin Peaks Mine in Cedar Rapids
Capitalists E. E. Pinney and L. T. Wilcox from Cedar Rapids toured the Twin Peaks M and M Co. camp with Mining Engineer S. B. Elbert of Yearington Nevada. They sampled 50 spots from the Free Gold shaft and rated the vein as a true fissure likely to extend deep with surface traces near three miles. Elbert’s report is due in about ten days and praised the property’s potential.

Impostor Juan Orosco Uses Red Cross in Duncan Scam
A man calling himself Juan Orosco duped locals in Duncan by posing as a relative of General Orosco and collecting for Mexican Insurrectos. He carried papers supporting the ruse but was identified by other locals and arrested as “Oroseo” before being forced to leave town after proof of identity emerged. He toured Lordsburg under a similar alias prior to capture.
