Five Allegations Arise in Greenlee County Board Case
A civil suit filed in Greenlee County Superior Court accuses former Board of Supervisors J. H. T. Casper George Webster and B. F. Billingsley of illegally expending public funds. The five counts total 13 380.16 dollars and cover improper tax refunds duplicate assessment costs good roads expenses and highway construction payments to J T Holman.

Telegraph Service Change at Depot Under New Management
Change implemented last Saturday at midnight switches from Postal to Western Union at the depot. Western Union previously handled from Clifton by telephone. under new management, Western Union business will be handled at the depot with no Postal service for this point.

New Box Cars Added by A. and N. M. Ry
The A. and N. M. Railway has added ten standard size box cars to its freight fleet. These are the first box cars built specifically for and owned by the road. Agent Oberholser called attention to the cars, noting the company had not previously owned such cars.

Governor Hunt sent to the Senate the nomination of Frank Brown to be superintendent of the Benson reform school. Brown, a well known miner from Copper Hill Gila country, is secretary of the Western Federation of Miners and well known in Arizona and Colorado. He is said to be exceptionally well qualified for the position.

Baseball Saturday June 15 Lordsburg Triumphs Over Duncan
Lordsburg 2nd team arrived by train and defeated Duncan on the field 11 to 6. The next day Duncan sluggers fell 11 to 5 to Orosco's Braves, with local fans urged to attend and support their home team.
