Gila Academy was dedicated yesterday in Thatcher with Apostle Geo A Smith of Utah presiding. Gila residents Jasper Gale Bartlett Gale and Frea Tippetts attended along with a large church delegation. the event marks an epoch in the Lower Valley. The academy will be named The Gila Academy, open to all, not strictly denominational.
