Republicans lose Sheriff and one Supervisor race amid broad Democratic majorities in legislature. Greenlee backs Democratic ticket. tight county races leave Dems dominant except for Sheriff and one Supervisor.
Locals await 11 days till Christmas as E W Taylor ledgers the town with toys and gifts. Dr H A Schell, optician, appears in Duncan and Tucson for one day only on December 20 at Duncan Hotel. Santa Claus and Mr. Taylor hold offices for holiday distribution as townsfolk shop early.
Twin Peaks Mining Company moves a large air compressor from the Steeple Rock Carlisle mines to the company camp aboard twelve mule teams. Purchased from the Carlisle company at a bargain, it promises stockholder savings. Erection by Engineer Daily and Superintendent Alex Fraser to begin within 20 to 30 days, boosting camp business.
J. C. Gatti of Clifton sent eight carloads of cattle from Old Mexico to Duncan this week. The animals were unloaded and will be fed at the Duncan stockyards.
Governor Sloan issues call for the South-Western Good Reads Convention to meet in Phoenix on December 20. California, New Mexico, and Arizona delegates will attend with Arizona counties represented. Gila County in Arizona assigns two delegates, including L. J. Turney.
Ike Harcrow of Harcrow Livery plans a four ore haul from Clear Lake Mines to Sheldon. J W Burke handles blacksmithing to rig the rig. Ike aims for twelve horses and expects a large freighting operation at the upcoming mining camp.
A four year old girl, child of Frank Potete, was bitten by a skunk last week at Twin Peaks mining camp. She was taken to Austin Texas for treatment at a Pasteur Institute, with no word yet on the outcome of the therapy.
The Duncan school girls plan a box supper on Friday night December 22 to raise funds for the school baseball team. They are working hard to ensure success and urge community support.

Births within five days and deaths within three days require proper reporting and a burial or removal permit.
